I installed BitDefender on my laptop. I have created a strong password, but can't log-in on Windows. Can you help me unlock my laptop or disable BitDefender?

When you created the password, you had the option to set up a reset procedure. Use that procedure to reset the password. However, BitDefender doesn't prohibit the usage of your computer, meaning that it doesn't install into the logon screen to allow logging in or not. If you want to remove the software, go to Start > Control panel > Uninstall a program. Since it's an antivirus, the program might refuse to uninstall if you choose 3rd party applications (eg. Revo Uninstaller) .
If your product is registered, use the following tools to uninstall it from your computer. Any password it might have will be removed immediately.
Firstly I cannot change the way that my Bitdefender Internet Security 2009 updates. The screen is there, but I cannot tick any blocks on it to activate it. The same happens to my Windows Firewall. Also, my automatic updates are also not working. I already got 2/3 Trojan viruses which were blocked, but I cannot get rid of them. Thirdly I always get an annoying message telling me that MS Feeds Synchronization encountered a problem and needs to close. Another problem I encounter is that the connection to Internet via my cell phone (as modem) is not working properly anymore. It worked fine, but now I get pop up messages with a warning that something wants to connect to the Internet with process 236.exe or 571.exe and all different kind of numbers. Is this due to a virus or is there a setting that needs to be reversed or deleted. In my network display screen there usually pops up an I-connet connection which I haven't installed. What can I do?

Yes, all these problems can be caused by some viruses. Since you can't update the security software, your computer can easily be infected. In order to fix the issues, remove BitDefender Internet Security 2009 using the uninstall tool provided by the developers and reboot the PC. After that, install it again and download and install the updates manually. You can find them on BitDefender Download Center. Next, reboot your PC, press the F8 key to enter in Safe Mode and perform a full system scan. If the issues persists, I recommend you try scanning your PC using another security application from Software Informer database.
